Community Benefits Coalition

WBNC is a founding organization a part of the Charlotte Community Benefits Coalition, which is a coalition of over twenty neighborhoods, neighborhood associations, nonprofit organizations and individuals. We continue to advocate for equitable development in the City of Charlotte. The Charlotte Communities Benefits Coalition, working with the Housing Justice Coalition, Black Political Caucus, and communities across Charlotte are demanding City Council create a Community Benefits policy.

Our work targets the Charlotte’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan, the Unified Development Ordinance, the Community Benefits Agreements Taskforce, and other commissions, stakeholders and target areas.
